ULMAN and their favorite festival
The recent show at tff in Rudolstadt should have convinced the last doubters: ULMAN is ready for the big festivals. 7000 people were celebrating our music and our performance. No matter if Rock, Drum ´n Bass or Hip Hop, the hands were in the air and the bodies moving. You can find some impressions of the festival from Jörg Wolf in the PICS section.
Now we take a time out to relax on vacation after this eventful summer. However in September we will be presenting our next highlight to our fans: ULMAN unplugged. We exchange our highly electrified equipment with completely acoustic instruments and tour western Germany.
Last but not least a not so exciting information. All of you waiting in vain for our new album, we have to tell you that it will take us a little longer than expected. We are planning the release for the end of the year.
ULMAN IN THE STUDIO
PREPARATIONS FOR THE NEW ALBUM RUN AT FULL SPEED
At the moment we are very busy to prepare our new album.
Along with that we had a personal change in our band. Demian Kappenstein on drums came in and now we have a lot to rehearse to be ready for the studio at the beginning of March. You can be curious to know which other surprises we have for you.
Probably the album will be released not before the summer.

ULMAN ON WDR3
BIELEFELD CONCERT CAN BE HEARD ON 22 NOV
Our concert on November 14th, 2007 at the Rudolf-Oetker-Halle in Bielefeld was recorded by the radio station WDR 3 and will be broadcasted on 22nd November about 8 pm. For those who cannot receive WDR 3, listen to our concert via internet and have fun!!

BERLIN CONCERT RECORDED
For all who missed it or couldn`t come and for those who enjoyed it so much: Our concert in Berlin at "Werkstatt der Kulturen" on 2nd November was recorded by "Offener Kanal Berlin" and will be shown on 6th November from 10 a.m. in the Berlin cablenet and at the same time on the internet www.okb.de.
Repeats are on 20th Nov and 18th Dec each from 10 p.m. (only cable)

WE DID IT!
ULMAN WINS THE CREOLE FINALS IN DORTMUND
A terrific weekend is behind us!
With our performance in Dortmund on Saturday, 19 May we won the „creole 2007 - Prize for Worldmusic from Germany“, together with Ahoar from Bonn and Äl Jawala from Freiburg.
Still dazed by this success we would like to thank the audience, the jury, the organisers, the really competent stage crew and the friendly artists´guides. The warmest congratulations also go to our co-winners Äl Jawala and Ahoar.
The atmosphere in the „domicil“ was great, the organisation of the festival excellent, the party and talks with the other musicians inspiring. We are really happy to be one of the winners and we hope that this success will make it possible to carry our music to more people in future.
WINNER OF „CREOLE MITTELDEUTSCHLAND“
Friday, January 19th´07 just before 01:00 was the crucial moment: ”... and the three winners are: Maramme, Niniwe and . . . . . U L M A N . . . The day before, we had apparently staged a convincing thirty-minute performance, at least we got the impression we’d done well, and the audience (thanks again to everyone who was there!) was definitely enthusiastic about it. We had a splendid time at the Moritzbastei these two evenings.
We want to take the chance to congratulate the other two winners and say thanks to everyone for all their good wishes and congratulations.

NEW ALBUM ARRIVED
The new ULMAN Album „VIBES“ was delivered directly to the TFF in Rudolstadt. Next station was Altenburg. There, at our lovely CD stall, several copies at once changed hands.
